Benefits of Change

If you are overweight and lose 10% of your body weight through healthy eating and increased physical activity, you will achieve all sorts of health benefits including a healthier heart, lower blood pressure and stronger bones. You will also reduce your risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, some cancers, sleep apnea and gallstones.

Eating and drinking foods high in calcium offers protection against osteoporosis and may help prevent some types of cancers.

Eating fruits (PDF) and vegetables (PDF) helps reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

Eating foods high in protein (PDF) helps to repair body cells and protects against bacteria and viruses.
